Are The Traffic Officers In Your Area Writing Parking Tickets Too Early?

In New York City, traffic and police officers have been caught writing parking tickets up to three minutes early and while not yet proven, this has also been reported in Boston, San Francisco and other Parking Challenged cities. Traffic officers were caught writing these bogus parking tickets

in Manhattan on Riverside Drive between 104th-111th streets and other streets are currently being investigated.

Three minutes might not sound like a lot, but if you are a regular parker who knows the regulations, it can be like an hour. You may be timing it to the minute when you will show up to move your car, because you know the exact time that the place where you parked you car changes from being legal to illegal.

So what do you do if this happens to you? No matter which city you live in, fight the parking ticket. Don’t be intimidated by City Hall, you can and should get the parking ticket dismissed. If you feel this is happening where you live, please let us know and we’ll do our best to alert the media, which has proven to be one of the best ways to get City governments to change their ways when something fishy is going on.
