My NBC Nightly News appearance about NYC parking

As some of you may have seen, I was on TV last night on the 11pm NBC Nightly News in the NYC area as The NYC parking expert to talk about how difficult it is to find Manhattan parking and how expensive the Manhattan parking garages are.

They called me yesterday and asked me to come in ASAP to Manhattan. I hopped a bus a short while later and met the reporter at the location. My bus had been in traffic and I guess they were in a hurry because as I got there and shook the reporter's hand, he was already positioning me for the interview. I'd say I was there a full 10 seconds and had a microphone in my face with the reporter asking me questions. The interview lasted about 5 minutes (of which they used about 20 seconds, as you saw) and they were gone. My head was kind of spinning, before I knew it I was back on the bus heading home. I ended up being out of my office for a total of 3 hours, about 20 minutes of which was actually spent off the bus in Manhattan. I'm glad I did it, though - I think it came out pretty good, it's great exposure and it's always fun to do those kinds of things.

Manhattan parking and New York couriers & messengers

I had been asked to speak at the NYSMCA (New York State Messenger & Courier Association) dinner meeting, which took place at Arno’s restaurant at 141 w 38th Street in Manhattan on Wednesday, April 18th, 2007.

The NYSMCA members are really nice people. Couriers and messengers face a lot of unique challenges regarding NYC parking. They need to park in places where it is often next to impossible so that they can deliver goods to their customers who usually are in a hurry and don’t want to hear about the many difficulties of NYC parking. These customers are paying for a service and they want it now.

Commercial vehicles do have some NYC parking regulations designed for specifically for them, but that...

NYC Parking Expert mentioned in a great new blog

We were mentioned in an excellent blog yesterday called Cell Blog, which is part of Wirelessinfo.com. They focused on our Manhattan Parking Search Engine and how it can be used on mobile devices. They also mentioned that we are launching a Boston Parking Search Engine very soon - which is true, look for announcements in the near future.

You can read the full blog post about us at Cell Blog Here.

Parking Search Engine featured today on prominent radio show

Our Feder Guide Manhattan Parking Search Engine was featured today on today's (2-27-07) Joan Hamburg Show on WOR-AM Radio .

Joan Hamburg is a well known radio personality and her show is one of the most loved AM radio talk shows in the NYC area. She really did a great job talking about our parking service and books. She particularly hit on some good points about how we list not just street parking regulations but specific parking meter and street cleaning info as well as complete parking garage information. Take a listen and let us know what you think.
